Local boards

The "Summary of feedback and actions - Auckland Council local boards" can be accessed on the left menu.

A total of 110 responses were received from a wide range of individuals and organisations. The feedback provided was of a high quality and comprehensive in its scope, covering almost 1,600 individual issues. These issues were then grouped into nine themes and 70 key issues. The feedback was generally supportive of many of the discussion document proposals. Many respondents took the proposals as a base and built on these by providing ideas for the next steps in the setting up of local boards. These ideas will help guide the ATA's work in the coming months.

The ATA's responses to the feedback are based on the proposals in the first version of the Local Government (Auckland Law Reform) Bill. On 24 May 2010 a second version of this bill was released, which could affect some responses in the ATA’s feedback report.
